In our “Buy It For Life” posts we feature products that are built to last a lifetime. We also give preference to products that are very durable, are warrantied for life, and are made in the U.S.

Tanner Goods is a small team of craftsmen in Portland, Oregon. They specialize in manufacturing heritage leather good. All of their sewing is done by a heritage saddle maker who started as an apprentice in the industry in 1964.

The company uses domestically sourced material. Their leather goods are cut from vegetable tanned English Bridle American leather, which is renowned for it’s ability to age beautifully and gain character over years of use.

They have a series of Heritage Belts which are burnished and waxed by hand. The belts take about two weeks to ship.

They range in price from $80 to $92, available directly from Tanner Goods.
